Local web development business acquired by Perspektiv

27.07.08

Perspektiv has acquired the web development arm of Nottingham IT company Presence, an established business of twelve years.

Perspektiv, who specialise in creative design services and innovative direct mail solutions for clients across a broad range of industry sectors, has made the acquisition to broaden the range of services it provides to clients. It will enable Perspektiv now to build, host and maintain websites in house for clients, as well as providing other e-marketing e-commerce and search engine optimisation services complementing the other marketing services that the company already provides.

The deal involves the purchase of the assets of the web business including its client base together with the goodwill.   All members of staff will also transfer to Perspektiv which will ensure continuity of service to clients with business continuing very much as usual.

For Perspektiv, it represents the third acquisition that the company has made, having previously acquired Counterpunch, a long established promotional and point of sale marketing company in 2002 and then Unicorn Mail Management and Unicorn Print Management in 2005.

“We are delighted to have acquired this web development business,” said Ashley Kirkpatrick, commercial director at Perspektiv.  “It has a strong client base that we look forward to continuing to service through Perspektiv and a good team of people who will be joining us.   The acquisition also forms a key part of our longer term strategy of becoming a fully integrated marketing agency, comprising creative brand marketing, innovative direct marketing, and now strategic digital solutions.”

“I am extremely pleased to have secured this deal for the web development part of the business and I am confident that it will be in a safe pair of hands with Perspektiv,” said David Shutter, managing director of Presence.   “It will enable us to focus on our IT security operations and also provide Perspektiv with an opportunity to develop the web business that we started.”
